Oakland City Community Center  Oakland City has won a $500,000 Grant for a new Community Center to constructed at Wirth Park, completion date is scheduled for the end of 2011. For more information on this project, you can click here to be taken to the web site.

Oakland City Sweet Corn Fest
The first week in August Every Year, come celebrate one of this areas bounties at Wirth Park on Highway 64 in Oakland City.  Held annually, this event includes a large parade, games, carnival rides, crafts, beauty pageant, live entertainment, fried chicken dinners and of course corn on the cob.

Patriot Classic Golf Scramble
The Patriot Classic Golf Scramble is held annually the last weekend in June as part of our activities surrounding Independence Day activities.  We have door prizes, prizes for closest to pin and longest drive.  So get your team together and come on out for an afternoon of fun.

Oakland City Fireworks
After the OCCBA Patriot Classic golf scramble has completed come out and join us in the evening for a fireworks display to celebrate our independence day.

Oakland City Kiwanis Halloween Parade
October 30th, come out in costume for East Gibson's largest Halloween event! Prizes awarded to winning contestants.
